Due to increasing concerns
for pedestrian traffic at dismissal time, we are reminding
drivers NOT to stop their cars in the traffic lane beside the
guest parking lot. When you stop there and come inside to
get students, you are blocking traffic from proceeding through.
When others pass your vehicles, they are endangering you and our
students. This is a reminder to please
pull into the guest parking lot before getting out of your vehicle
to pick up your children.

Sixth graders in Mrs. Phillips' Science class did an experiment
with friction. Students used a variety of materials (wax
paper, sandpaper, carpet, and aluminum foil) to see how far small
cars would travel on each surface from an incline.

Students in Mrs. Kline's 5th grade class
celebrated Caring Week by caring about others. Students
tried to fill their bucket with kind actions, which goes along
with the story "Have You Filled a Bucket Today?"

The "mobile dentist" visited recently
and was a great success! Pictured is Dr. Dwight Fox with
3rd grade student, Bailey. We will be welcoming the mobile dentist
again in September 2010 and April 2011. Thanks to all who
participated. We hope to have even more students involved
next year!
